Description

Hot Curls originated in Hawaii in 1937 where the narrow tail and deep V were designed to stop the boards from tail sliding and spinning out in steeper waves. They were introduced into California by Dale Velzy and ridden into the 1940's until fins were introduced. The shape and design of the boards influenced the development of the big wave gun. Handcrafted by Joe Larkin for Carl Tanner.
